     Ian Ramsay was born and educated in England, also lived in Canada and the United States. He is a licensed architect, receiving a Masters of Architecture at the U of U. He left architecture in 1979 to become a full-time artist, working exclusively in watercolor, mostly in a representational style.
     Ian has been featured in several national art magazines and has won many awards from the Utah State Fair to Western Federation of Watercolor Societies. He has taught at the Salt Lake Art Center and led numerous demonstrations and painting workshops. He is well known for his paintings of waterfront settings.
     Ian will be sharing his knowledge and experience in the UWS January 2018 Mini Workshop titled “Painting Harbourscapes.”

UWS Workshop Payment Policy                           
  • Registration is available online, through PayPal, or by check. 

  • Full payment is due at time of registration. 

  • If paying with a check, payment must be received before a seat can be reserved.

  • If workshop registrants have to cancel, it is registrants' responsibility to find their own replacement for funds reimbursement. Workshop Chair can assist if there is a wait list for the workshop.

Mini-Workshop Refund Policy

The Utah Watercolor Society (UWS) mini-workshop registration fee shall NOT be refundable or transferable once a seat is reserved.  It is the member's sole responsibility to find a replacement should he or she no longer be able to attend the mini-workshop. All efforts to recoup paid registration fees shall be between the original registrant and the replacement. The UWS Mini-workshop Coordinator may assist members in identifying possible alternate attendees. If a replacement cannot be found, the registrant forfeits the registration cost.

UWS workshops are held at Sons of the Utah Pioneers Building, 3301 East Louise Ave. (2920 S.), SLC, unless otherwise noted.
