Levels: All levels of students in my SLC studio.  My classes are like Master classes in which students generally work on their own, unless they are beginners at which time I introduce them to the media they want to learn.  Drawing can figure in teaching when needed and I demonstrate concepts rather then demo a complete painting.  All levels share with one another so it is a growing experience for all.  I teach Tuesday afternoons fro 1-4PM and Wednesday nights 6-9PM , $20 per class.

Type of Media: Watercolor, and acrylic primarily as I have no ventilation for oil.

Paige Kimball

Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree, University of Utah (Academic Scholarship);
Utah Watercolor Society Two-Star Signature Member;
PTA Reflection’s Contest Regional Chair and Judge;
Great Artists Instructor, Bonneville Elementary School;
Original Watercolors in various shows, homes, offices and competitions locally, regionally and internationally.

Levels: All ages, beginning to intermediate students

Type of Media: Watercolor

Where I teach: In my home, at schools, or in private or semi-private lessons.
Paige fell in love with her first box of Crayola crayons as a 3-year old quarantined with Scarlet Fever. She still enjoys color and creating works of art with both watercolor and texturized acrylic. She is inspired by the human face, by the graphic impact of shadows and textures, and by images captured in her humanitarian travels abroad. She shares this passion with her students, in private or semi-private lessons in her Yale-Harvard neighborhood, and at home art parties. Paige loves to teach both children and adults who possess an open mind and heart, and a willingness to explore and create together.

Levels: Small classes for beginning to intermediate level students. I like to alternate between basic skills (color theory, composition, drawing, perspective, etc.) and wildly improvisational creativity. During the summer (May-August), classes may be less regular (get on the email list for weekly updates). This summer we will work on drawing skills as well as painting outdoors. Since we will be working outdoors, students may use any medium, including oils or pastels. The day/time for classes may also change during the summer, so contact me if you want updates.

September – April classes are held weekly, on Saturdays, 12:30 – 3 p.m., at Cottonwood Presbyterian Church, 1580 E. Vine St. (6100 S.) in the Murray-Cottonwood area.

Type of Media: We work primarily in watercolor and sometimes mix drawing materials, collage, and gouache.

Credentials: B.F.A. degree from the University of Utah and many hours of workshops and individual painting under my belt. I’m a signature member of UWS and recipient of many awards. I’ve been showing/selling my work at Art at the Main Gallery since 2007.

Deena Riley Millecam Deena Riley Millecam

Deena Riley Millecam teaches watercolor classes at Uintah Heritage Museum in Vernal, Utah the third Thursday of each month. Beginners and intermediate students enjoy learning the techniques of water and pigment. Classes range from beginners to intermediate with emphasis on composition, design, and value.
Deena graduated with a Bachelor of Education teaching art at the junior high level. She continued her education and was involved in administration for many years. But she has seen the light and returned to art.
The opportunity to teach in detention and addiction recovery centers fulfills a dream of sharing art therapy with others.
Her love of watercolor is seen in her paintings shown in several galleries and exhibits throughout the state. She appreciates time spent learning new techniques with many established artists and rubbing shoulders with local painterly-friends!
