As we begin a new year, my heart is filled with gratitude for blessings beyond measure. One of these is my association with UWS artist friends. Many of these friendships have happened because of my membership in Utah Watercolor Society. So much good is happening here.
UWS workshops have not only given me the opportunity to learn and grow artistically, but to become friends with the other participants. At the workshops, there is always positive energy as we share paints, brushes, and comments about the work each one of us is accomplishing. It doesn’t matter where you are on your artistic journey, I hope you’ll take advantage of UWS workshops.
Our monthly meetings offer a chance to gather and share a demonstration by some of the best artists in Utah and around the country. Some of the demonstrations have included learning to pour paints, using ink with watercolor, mounting and varnishing paintings, painting a velvety dark background. What a blessing it is to fill our buckets each month with new ideas and things to try.
UWS also offers us opportunities to exhibit our work, paint together at Paint Outs, share instructor information and so much more.
