Doug Allen will be presenting liquid watercolor and ink.
Everyone bring your brushes (#4 or #6 round), watercolors, and ink (if you have it)! Doug will bring paper. Tables will be set up for working.
Also…if you have 2 inch brushes that you can bring to share, please do so. Label them with your name so that you will get them back at the end of the night!
Bio
Douglas Allen, BFA, MS, Administrative Credential, has been teaching AP* Studio Art classes for over 25 years and currently works at Brigham Young University (BYU). At BYU he teaches drawing and painting to university students and also organizes Professional Development for teachers in a 5 school district university-public school partnership. He has been in this position since 2013 and before that was the Fine Arts Consultant (K-12) for 6 years in Jordan School District. He began his career teaching art at a high school in Australia and then at Alta High School in Sandy, Utah. He has been working with the College Board, both as an exam Reader and Consultant for the past fifteen years and has lead workshops and institutes nationally. Doug has been involved with Professional Development for teachers for years and is excellent at providing enrichment opportunities that strengthen their ability to help students. Besides being an educator, Mr.Allen is an accomplished artist and has had many commissions for his paintings. He, and his students have received numerous awards in local, state, and national exhibits.
