This same society, now called the National Watercolor Society, still maintains the same high standards of excellence begun 100 years ago. UWS member, Jana Parkin, will be teaching a workshop at a castle in France in June 2020. Marouatte Castle, in the Dordogne region, sits on 240 acres of woodlands and looks like a fairy tale castle! Artists actually get to stay at a private room in the castle. Each has a private bath as well. We will also take day trips to the surrounding villages, which are amazingly picturesque and begging to be painted. Fairly nearby are the famed Lascaux caves, and Grotte de Villars with Neolithic paintings dating from 19,000 BC.
UWS Member Becky Hartvigsen is teaching painting classes at her home every Friday.
Morning: 10:00am – 12:00pm – Watercolor class ($20 per class)
Afternoon: 1:00pm – 3:00pm – Oil class ($20 per class)
Contact her to reserve a spot. ([email protected] or use your UWS directory to look up her phone number)
