UWS Member Meeting
“Painting in Captivity”
Tuesday, Sept 1st at 7:00 pm!
After months of being cooped up, it’s time to show off the art you have been working on while sheltering at home!
Your UWS board has come up with a safe, socially-distanced way to get together and celebrate the talents of our members. Since the SUP building where we meet is currently closed for meetings and events, we will hold a member art showcase at Canyon Rim Park at 3100 Grace Street, East Pavilion (just a few blocks away from our regular meeting location).
We will gather outdoors in or near the pavilion on the east side of the park. Please bring your own easel (either floor or table) for displaying your art or just set it on the table in the pavilion. Be sure to set up at least 6 feet away from the next person to maintain proper social distance. Also, we encourage everyone to wear a mask. There will be no food or drink provided to minimize the spread of the virus, but you can certainly bring your own.
Even if you haven’t been working on your art during the lockdown, just come and get inspired by your fellow members and compliment them on their work.
If you still feel uncomfortable being out in the public, even with the precautions we are taking, please don’t feel any pressure to participate.
