To Promote Watermedia in Utah
A message from our UWS President
Becky Hartvigsen
Dear friends, As we begin a new year of Utah Watercolor Society activities I look back on past years with fond memories. We have had wonderful painters come in to teach us new watercolor techniques. Both in our monthly meetings, and in the workshops we have presented. It is a lot of work and expense to bring these talented people in to provide you the chance to grow as an artist. Some have been more fun than others but they have all been informative. Let’s try to support these workshops so we can keep having them. We have lost some great friends and gained even more. As we look to the months ahead I can see a lot of fun and growth for everyone. That doesn’t happen by just showing up. We all need to put some effort into this coming year. Let’s all bring a friend to our meetings. During Covid we have lost some of our enthusiasm. We need to get that back and bring our membership up to pre Covid days. The more members we have the more opportunities we have. Give us your ideas. Tell us who you want to be presenters at your meetings and workshops. Enter the shows. There is a lot of work put into them. Come join the board and help make decisions. After all it is YOUR watercolor society. Hope to see you all the first Tuesday of every month. Becky |
