A message from our UWS President Becky Hartvigsen Well it’s already December, that time of year again. There seem to be those people who have everything under control, enjoying the season, and then there are those people who are running around in a panic. I seem to fall somewhere in the middle. It seems Santa and his elves are a little bit the same way. They are busy getting ready for the Christmas rush. The elves assigned to the CARD DIVISION are a little behind… So I , being a somewhat fearless leader, have volunteered the Utah Watercolor Society! Next Tuesday night we will all meet at the Sons Of the Utah Pioneers building, 7:00 sharp. Bring your painting supplies. Santa will provide the cards, cookies and a lovely Christmas punch (thank you Crystal and Margo Claus!). At the end of the night we will exchange cards and all will have had a very good night. (If any of you have anything you would like to donate for the scholarship fund I’m sure that would be greatly appreciated by Santa also.) Remember Santa is watching! The Utah Watercolor Society Small Works Show: Monday through Friday 9:00-5:00 until December 15. The show is located at 4580 South 2300 East, downstairs, SLC. I hope everyone can get there to see it, a really beautiful show. Bessann has done a great job hanging it and the art work is lovely. The Ian Stewart workshop is coming up this Spring. That would be a great thing to ask Santa for for Christmas. More on that coming from Gunther. And last but not least, I know this can be a crazy, hectic time of year. There are so many things going on. So many parties and shopping and wrapping. I just hope in all this crazy fun and I hope we can slow down and REMEMBER THE REASON FOR THE SEASON. Becky Hartvigsen |
I really enjoyed tonight! Thank you so much for the invite! I was delighted in meeting Sherri and Tammy at my table. Thanks again for a wonderful evening.
I joined late so not in directory. Not a problem but I am not getting the emails. Someone please add me to the group list. Thank you Stephanie Carter-Nielsen [email protected]
