Featured Exhibitions
Hermes, Icarus, and the Fates – Allyson Glenn
Drawing on years of research across ancient sites and artifacts, Allyson Glenn presents a body of work rooted in classical mythology and abstract storytelling. Through painting, drawing, and printmaking, Glenn reimagines iconic figures like Hermes and Icarus, capturing their timeless resonance in shifting, layered compositions.
Strings – Xi Zhang
In a deeply personal exhibition, Xi Zhang reflects on the final stages of his grandmother’s life through emotionally charged paintings. Blending expressionist techniques with abstract environments, Strings explores how grief and fading memory can be expressed through color, movement, and gesture.
Connect – Inez Garcia
Salt Lake City-based artist Inez Garcia merges glass casting and mixed media to explore how bodies of color are perceived and portrayed. In Connect, she addresses themes of intimacy, fetishization, and personal boundaries, drawing from her Chicana and Egyptian heritage to create work that is both tender and confrontational.
Fragments to Wholeness – Group Exhibition
Fragments to Wholeness features glass works created by twelve adolescent survivors of sexual abuse during a six-week expressive arts therapy program. Led by artist Sarinda Jones and trauma therapists Holly Willard and Sarah Bargar, the exhibition uses glass as a metaphor for healing, highlighting resilience and transformation through material process.
Women of Art: Button by Button – Robert Fuerer
Using buttons sourced from antique shops and family collections, Robert Fuerer creates abstract portraits of iconic women from art history. These vibrant, tactile mosaics invite viewers to rediscover familiar figures through color, texture, and personal memory, blurring the line between craft, fashion, and fine art.
Between the Layers: Works in Watercolor – Group Exhibition
This juried exhibition showcases the work of talented individuals living in Davis County who study under acclaimed watercolorist Sherry Meidell at BDAC. Known for her award-winning illustration and expressive technique, Meidell provides focused instruction in watercolor fundamentals, nurturing each artist’s unique voice.
