Well, February flew right by! Not surprising, since it’s the shortest month on the calendar…but still, have you noticed that as we age time seems to accelerate and compress? I’m still learning to prioritize the many things going on in my life to make best use of the ever-shrinking amount of time left to me in this mortal existence. You never know how long you have! I bet that Gene Hackman, his wife Betsy, and their dog didn’t know they were going until it suddenly happened.
If you have things that you’ve “always wanted to do“ in the hazy future but just haven’t gotten to, don’t put them off any longer! Sieze the day! I’m certainly going to give my dreams and goals a lot more attention from here on out, and hope that you’ll do the same with yours.
Is there anybody in our Utah Watercolor community who doesn’t know who Ian Ramsay is? As he is our March mini-workshop instructor next week we thought it fitting that he get the chance to share some of his vast knowledge and experience with us this coming Tuesday night, 4 March, at 7:00pm. It’s going to be a busy week for him; UWS members meeting demo Tuesday night, and back-to-back workshops on Wednesday-Thursday and Friday-Saturday. Whew!! Hang in there, Ian!
Just a friendly reminder that Geoff Allen‘s 4-day workshop is scheduled for 7-10 May, along with our Spring Exhibition in The Attic at the Provo Library. Our May members meeting will still be held on Tuesday, 6. May, and we can all benefit from Geoff’s demonstration that night. The information on registration for the workshop, and the prospectus for our Spring Exhibition, which Geoff will be judging, are up and you should have already gotten an email about that.
Wishing you all the best, and happy painting as the weather slowly warms up.
